Merdeka!Merdeka!Merdeka!

Was used to staying up late at night on the 30th of august watching the countdown on tv as we await for the clock to strike midnight...(31st august is my country's independence day...)

This year however was something different...First fact was that my country,Malaysia will be turning the biggy 50 this year...(meaning bigger n better celebrations than any of the other years...)Second unfortunate fact was that i am few thousand miles away from the one time where my country turns 50!!!!!Yeapx..and come to think of it,though at first i just dismissed that it was just like any other independence day celebration in Malaysia,i was proven wrong.

Reading about my mate describing it n even my parents..(didnt know they too were enthusiastic bout it...)makes me regret a lil bout not being home to celebrate it...My family went out 2 dinner on tat day..(my 2 cousies n my dad filled me in bout the dinner which was of course topped up with delicious looking food!!!!)wat i miss most about family get-togethers are the conversations n the laughter we share during the meal..The reminising bout wat me n my bro were up 2 when we were young,updates bout each n every member at the dinner,general stuff,things bout the future...etc...ah!!!!those good old times..cant wait 2 get back 2 malaysia!!!

Interview and tests...gosh!!!Is there such thing as stop the torture round here!!!!

After what seemed like an eternity,the 3 'unit tests' were over..(accounts,'academic' english and maths...)..Overall,can't believe i am admitting to this but the worst of the three was academic english!!!(dadada...english speaking person...dadadada..)but i mean paraphrasing,quoting and referencing??!!!what kind of a test was that?jeezzz....anyways,after part 1 of torture was over,part 2 came into the picture..

For BM,they have this virtual company where students have to apply for a job which will be what they will be doing for the whole year..(quite cool...with all the resumes and application letters and loads of nonsense i wrote in there.=P)..Not used to this self-promoting kind of situation..so well,this week was spent getting ready for it..eg:formalwear...all of us were required to dress formally especially for those applying for high positions...(looks like i have to go clothes hunting...)aunty n ah pak were a biggy help 2 me..we spent almost the whole week scurrying round for affordable and fitting formalwear..(size does matter here..the smaller you are,the harder it is to get a size unless you were to visit the 'young adult' section which i did at one point after days of not finding it...)..Even got mum to send me over my boots and a white shirt..Managed to find a pair of pants and a jacket my size..(thanks a lot to aunty's accidental discovery and my mate's recommendation..hehe..)

Well,was all suited up for the interview...was not as good as i expected it to be but at the same time not as bad too...started off with a few stammers but later on i was ok...even got the 2 interviewers laughing at one point..(had 2 very nice and friendly interviewers..looking forward to working with them if they give me that chance though..hehe...)Whew..and to think that was all worked up bout all this..Had a simple meal with my mates before heading downtown to meet my other 2 friends..managed to have a few pics taken..hehe...though felt weird in it,but could feel the rush of confidence and capability in urs truly..(magic of the suit..hehe..)going to go hit the sacks eary 2day..this week has been a busy week...

HP And The Deathly Hallows

Though the HP(harry potter)mania has died down now..(here in aussie though it was D day for the final book's to hit the shelf,it was a craze here..(unlike M'sia where ppl would cmap outside or queue in the wee hours in the morning to get their hands on the book...).Dragged myself to the bookstore and just got it off the shelf without having to fight for one as there were plenty being stacked in that bookstore..Expected to see ppl queuing or having fights over that book but well i was being let down as there was no such drama here..

Managed to finish the book in less than a month!!It was not bad except some parts in the middle that i find not necessary to talk about in 2 long chapters!!!(eg:What happen when Ron left the 2..or when they infiltrated the Ministry Department...)Last part;battle between Voldy,his troops and Harry and his troops were quite interesting..though the short make out session between Ron and Hermione should have taken place at a better time!!Anyways,it was ok..Dissappointing thing was that..Harry didnt die!!!(it masy sound mean of me but i mean in the last 6 books it has been really obvious that Harry will have to die if Voldy dies but oh well,like all fantasy books,they need a fairytale ending..)

Part i find really amusing was the '19 years later chapter'..Note:if you decided to check out the ending of the book first,it will give you big question marks in the head.. (My mum decided to spoil the ending by reading the last part and then later bombarding me with questions on MSN...)even ppl like me who rad from the beginning find the ending a lil confusing at first but well cant blame me cause it was 4am in the morning!!!hahaha...

Names like Lily,James and Albus does not mean that they got up from the dead but are actually names of Harry and Ginny's(surprising eh??)3 kids..I mean seriously,millions of names in the worl and they have to go with the 3 names..(its in memory of HP's parents and headmaster but use that as a middle name or something not a first name...It's really confusing for those who would want to spoil the ending...)Ron and Hermione have 2 kids...at least they werent named after anyone who has departed from the Planet Earth...Even Mr Draco Malfroy decided to reproduce..Everyone ended up 2gether,reproduced and live happily ever after!!!The END!!!HP ends there...

Worst week so far!!!!!

Was it just me or was it that this week was the worst week ever?!?!Have been having sleepless nights thanks to homework n well sometimes a lil late night chat(hope dad doesnt see this if not i am so dead!!!!)..After a few days of late nights,decided on thursday,well maybe i can sleep early today..

Just as i was proud that i did the last thing on dad's checklist,i slept till 8.30 the next day..And guess what??My first class starts at 9am!!!!Was rushing round like a mad woman.Preparing this and that till finally i ran to the bus stop..As i reached the bus stop my mate from college called me asked where was i and that the bus has already left!!Gosh!!!!!i was screaming inside my head!!how can this day get any worse!!!The last option for me to get to school.....Run there!!!

My college is 'strategically' located in Spring Hill(hill so guess how the roads and paths were..)Got to college at 9.15am.Lucky thing that day was that the lecturer excused me for being late as she claimed that it was an Ok reason..haha.It's winter here..coldest winter brissy has ever experienced.Thanks to the running i was sweating like a pig..My face was so red till the lecturer thought i was going to collapse on the spot..(At least i got my exercise looking at the things i eat when i have lunch here at college..dinner is always the best meal of the day..thanks a lot 2 ah pak n ah mou...heehe..)

After what seemed like eternity(Academic english..what's up with 'academic'?Till now i still cant figure out the difference between Academic English and just the normal English Language..)friday classes finally ended!!Let's hope the weekend can change my perception about this week..hehee..
